eroFame is a b2b trade convention for suppliers and trade members who are responding to the social developments and the growing moral acceptance of “erotic lifestyle“, a tre
nd enjoyed by more and more women and couples. The event took place for the first time in Berlin in 2010.
The intention of the organisers (Mediatainment Publishing eroFame GmbH, an affiliate of Mediatainment Publishing GmbH, the leading publisher of b2b industry magazines in Europe, known for EAN and eLINE) is to offer a platform for erotic products outside the hardcore industry, and they are supported by big and renowned industry members, producers and wholesalers alike.
After the great success of the first eroFame trade convention in 2010, the show moved to fairgrounds in Hanover in 2011 and has been taking place there ever since. Roughly two hundred international exhibitors present special products from the world of “erotic lifestyle“, for instance toys, lingerie and fashion, pharmaceuticals, consumables, and much, much more.
Within the first four years of eroFame, the trade convention – that caters exclusively to international retailers and wholesalers as well as members of the press and industry (as opposed to a consumer show) – has already turned into the leading event of its kind.
Several times a year, the organisers meet with the members of the trade show advisory board that is made up of representatives of six big, European companies from this market. The goal of these meetings is to continuously improve and optimise eroFame.
The member companies of the advisory board (Joydivision, Orion, pjur, SCALA (Beate Uhse) / Playhouse / ZBF, and STRubber), are also the main sponsors of the eroFame trade convention.
eroFame is also the venue for the annual presentation of the coveted EROTIX AWARDs. The awards are an acknowledgement of achievements in several categories such as most innovative product, best customer service, best product design, best advertisement campaign, etc.
While the three-day event has a clear focus on the economic interests of the participants, eroFame also represents an opportunity to establish new business relationships and expand personal and individual networks. Another already legendary element of the event is the “eroFame Oktoberfest“, a big party for the exhibitors and visitors that takes place on the evening of the second trade show day. Admission and catering are free throughout the entire three-day event for all participants and trade visitors.
